Who is the service designed for?

The domestic parcel services are designed for our contract customers in need of regular parcel deliveries to businesses or consumers and for e-commerce needs. If you are sending parcels infrequently, you can also easily send them and pay for them online.

Benefits

We deliver parcels to your customers quickly and effortlessly throughout Finland. Your customer may not even need to wait overnight for their parcel. If the item is not picked up, we will automatically return it to the sender.

You will have access to a nationwide service network. As our customer, you only need to gather your items in one place – we will take care of the rest. We will pick up your company’s parcels at the agreed time and from the agreed location and deliver them directly to your customer’s warehouse, shop or office. We offer you and your customers diverse delivery types to Parcel Lockers, Posti outlets, homes and businesses. We can also handle unpacking and shelving upon your request.

Posti’s digital services enable you and your customer to track the item until it is delivered. If an item is not picked up from a Posti service point or Parcel Locker, it is automatically returned to the sender. All of our domestic Transport Services are 100% carbon neutral Posti Green services – without additional fees.

Domestic parcels for contract customers

Postal parcel – parcel pickup from Parcel Locker or Posti outlet

A postal parcel picked up from a Posti outlet or a Smartpost Parcel Locker is an easy and reliable way to send goods. Send or pick up a postal parcel effortlessly from our network of more than 1,400 service points. The postal parcel is picked up from your location by 5 p.m. or you can deliver it to a Posti outlet. The recipient will collect the parcel on the day of arrival after 4 p.m.

Postal parcels are also delivered on Saturdays to more than 420 Posti Parcel Lockers and service points in the capital region and in the Turku, Tampere, Lahti, Seinäjoki, Pori, Jyväskylä, Kuopio and Oulu regions.

Small Parcel – delivered to the recipient’s mail slot or box

A Small Parcel delivered directly to a mail slot or box is the most effortless solution for e-commerce customers. Small Parcel is an affordable and easy way to send small items that fit into a mail slot or mailbox. Small Parcels are delivered anywhere in Finland together with day mail.

Home Parcel – delivered to the recipient’s doorstep at the agreed time

As its name suggests, the Home Parcel is delivered directly to the recipient’s home, offering an easy solution for e-commerce customers. We contact the recipient to agree on a time of delivery, usually for the next working day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. If you select the Fast track additional service, we will deliver the parcels to recipients in the capital region on the same weekday if the item arrives at the Posti terminal by 1 p.m. Additional services are always agreed upon customer-specifically and parcels are delivered to consumers’ homes between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

How to send parcels as a contract customer

Contract customers can use the SmartShip service to send parcels. The service enables you to place parcel transport orders and print the parcel labels for your shipment at once regardless of whether you are sending them domestically or internationally. The diverse display of the Dashboard service makes your customer service work and item tracking easier. Your customers can track the items using the OmaPosti application or the web service and choose their preferred pickup location.

Posti SmartShip enables you to send your products as Postal Parcels, Small Parcels, Home Parcels and Express Parcels in Finland.

Returning uncollected parcels

Sometimes, errors in address information and other issues may result in uncollected items. Once you have signed a contract for sending parcels with Posti, the Posti Unclaimed Shipment service will also be available to you. We will return any uncollected parcels to the sender address in the address label. This helps you ensure that unclaimed items are returned to you. The service also saves you time and effort as we will handle the paperwork and make the address labels for you.
