Mailing direct advertisement items

The ordering channels for direct advertisement items are Posti Kontakti, PTP and the electronic mailing list.

Home Direct and Home Direct Premium items are ordered through PTP or Kontakti. In addition to the price information, you will receive real-time confirmation of an approved delivery time as well as the correct mailing instructions.

  • PTP is particularly well-suited for regular and repeated mailing.
  • The Kontakti online service is particularly well-suited for campaign mailing or small-scale mailing.

Customer Direct items are ordered using the electronic mailing list. Fixed Day Delivery is ordered through the Sorting Service. The Create and Send Messages service in Posti Kontakti is also suitable for one-off items and small batches.

Posti Home Direct

The ordering channels for Home Direct (bundled service) are PTP and Posti Kontakti. Bundle or box Home Direct items according to the instructions available from the ordering channel. The payment indication marking (K, or K – Posti Oy if written) is printed on the control labels. It can also be printed on the item.

Mailing batches that have been unitized according to production direction should be dropped off at a postal center on Tuesdays and Thursdays by 5 p.m. The posting places are Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Oulu, Seinäjoki, Tampere and Lieto.

Posti Home Direct Premium

The ordering channels for Home Direct Premium items are PTP and Posti Kontakti. Bundle your Home Direct Premium items (individually delivered) in bundles of 50, 100 or 200 based on the operating location. Each bundle must have a white bundle label. The ordering channel has detailed instructions for mailing. You can also print the bundle labels using the ordering channel. You may also print the labels yourself based on a template. The payment indication marking (K, or K – Posti Oy if written) is printed on the bundle and control labels. It can also be printed on the item. Please note! In public notifications, the payment indication must be printed on the item. In addition, an item to be delivered as a public notification must always bear the following printed text: “Julkinen tiedote” (Public Notification) and/or the same in Swedish (“Offentligt meddelande”) as well as the sender information. On the bundle label, there should be the following text: “Julkinen tiedote – kaikkiin jakelupisteisiin” (Public notification – to all delivery points).

Unitized mailing batches should be dropped off at a postal center or terminal according to the instructions given by Posti on Tuesdays by 5:00 pm. Small batches can also be dropped off at a Posti service point.

Posti Customer Direct, machine-sortable

Invoicing with mailing list Items must include a Customer Direct payment indication that is in line with Posti’s instructions. Provide the mailing batch information, such as the payer, product number, quantity, zone and unit or total weight using an electronic mailing list.

Put the machine-sortable Customer Direct items in Posti’s blue boxes with the addresses facing the same direction. The items must not be bundled. Mark and unitize the boxes according to the Guide for Batch-Sorted Items. If you are using the Sorting Service, unitize your items according to the instructions given by the service. If the mailing has not been done as instructed, a product change that affects the price may be made or an additional handling fee may be added during the receipt inspection. For further information, check the mailing instructions.

The items can be dropped off at a postal center or terminal by 5 p.m., or you can choose to use the pickup transport service (subject to a charge). Customer Direct Fixed day delivery drop-off places as of July 1, 2019 are sorting centers in Helsinki, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox or at a Posti service point.

Please note! It is possible to buy Fixed Day Delivery for machine-sortable Customer Direct items as an additional service. In this case, the mailing of the batch is done using the Sorting Service, and a 2D code or 4-state code produced by the Sorting Service and the payment indication for Fixed Day Delivery are printed on the items. The postal code–specific advance information of the items should be provided through the Sorting Service at least 5 days before the drop-off day.

Posti Kontakti

When mailing individual messages or small batches using the Create and Send Messages service, you do not need to worry about payment indications, dropping them off at an outlet or the specifications of a machine-sortable item. The service prints the payment indication on the items and includes the materials, printing, mailing and postage fee for letters and cards.

Items indicated on a mailing list must include a Customer Direct payment indication that is in line with Posti’s instructions. Provide the mailing batch information, such as the payer, product number, quantity, zone and unit or total weight using an electronic mailing list.

Bundle manually sortable Customer Direct items (Exception: For batches sent through the Sorting Service, bundles to be opened can be put in boxes). Mark the bundles and unitize them based on transport units (rolltainer, publication cage or pallet) according to the Guide for Batch-Sorted Items. It is recommended that bundles to be opened are unitized separately.

The items can be dropped off at a postal center or terminal by 5 p.m., or you can choose to use the pickup transport service (subject to a charge). Customer Direct Fixed day delivery drop-off places as of July 1, 2019 are sorting centers in Helsinki, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu. Alternatively, Posti can pick up the items (pickup service subject to a charge). The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox or at a Posti service point.
